Depart Entebbe International Airport for the 5 to 6 hour drive west to Kibale Forest National Park through Uganda's green countryside. On arrival check into your lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon join a cultural immersion experience with local communities around the park including village visits, interactions with residents, traditional dance performances and insights into daily life at the edge of one of Africa's great forests. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

An early breakfast prepares you for the main event. Transfer to Kibale Forest headquarters for a briefing before heading into the forest with experienced trackers. Trek through dense vegetation in search of habituated chimpanzee families. Once located, spend time observing them up close as they feed, play and move through the canopy. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon head to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided swamp walk through this community managed reserve, home to over 200 bird species, red colobus monkeys, grey cheeked mangabeys and otters. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the lodge before checking out and transferring back to Entebbe International Airport.
