Itinerary
The safari begins with your arrival in Entebbe before heading southwest to Bwindi for an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience. From Bwindi, the journey continues to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where game drives and a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel offer abundant wildlife encounters. A community visit and exploration of Lake Katwe follow before transferring to Kibale for chimpanzee trekking and a swamp walk. The route then heads north to Murchison Falls National Park for thrilling game drives and a cruise on the Nile. The experience ends with rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary before returning to Entebbe for departure.
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be received by a company representative and transferred to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on arrival time, you may opt for a Kampala city tour to explore cultural and historical landmarks such as cathedrals, the king’s palace, and the Kasubi Tombs, or relax at your hotel. Overnight in Kampala.
After breakfast, drive southwest to Bwindi. En route stop at the Equator for a photo session and in Mbarara for lunch. Continue through scenic countryside, arriving in Bwindi in the evening. Dinner and overnight near the park.
After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for briefing. Trek into the forest with rangers to track a gorilla family, an activity that may take 3–7 hours. Spend one hour observing gorillas in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha sector, famous for tree-climbing lions. Arrive at the lodge for lunch and optional afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Early morning game drive in Kasenyi plains to spot lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, kobs, and birdlife. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel to see hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. Evening relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Morning game drive for more wildlife sightings. After lunch, visit Lake Katwe salt mine to learn about salt extraction. Proceed to Kasoga fishing community for cultural activities and fish preservation practices. Dinner and overnight at lodge.
After breakfast, drive through crater lake landscapes towards Kibale National Park. Lunch on arrival followed by relaxation at the lodge. Dinner and overnight in Kibale.
After an early breakfast, head to the briefing point for chimpanzee trekking. Trek through the forest with rangers to locate chimps, spending an hour with them once found. Return for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a Bigodi swamp walk and community experience including cultural dances, basket weaving, and local brewing. Dinner and overnight at lodge.
After breakfast, depart for Murchison Falls through the Albertine Rift Valley with views of Lake Albert and the Blue Mountains of Congo. Arrive at lodge for lunch. Optional evening game drive or relaxation. Dinner and overnight in Murchison Falls.
Early morning game drive with opportunities to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hartebeest, and many bird species. Return for lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Nile to the base of the falls, viewing hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife along the way. Dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out and drive towards Entebbe with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking on foot with a ranger. Continue to Entebbe, arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight in Entebbe.
Depending on your flight time, visit nearby attractions such as the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, reptile village, or botanical gardens. Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
